Overview
As a QMS (Quality Management System) Engineer, you will be the driving force behind maintaining and improving our quality systems in compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and customer-specific requirements. You’ll work cross-functionally with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to ensure products and processes consistently meet the demanding standards of the automotive industry.
Key Responsibilities
* QMS Development & Maintenance
o Manage and continually improve the Quality Management System in line with IATF 16949 and customer requirements.
o Lead document control, procedure updates, and system audits.
* Auditing & Compliance
o Plan and conduct internal audits; support customer and third-party audits.
o Ensure corrective and preventive actions are effectively implemented and sustained.
* Problem Solving & Root Cause Analysis
o Facilitate structured problem-solving methodologies (8D, 5-Why, Ishikawa).
o Drive closure of non-conformances and lessons learned deployment.
* Cross-Functional Support
o Partner with engineering on APQP/PPAP documentation and launch readiness.
o Support supplier quality initiatives and incoming material controls.
* Continuous Improvement
o Promote lean and Six Sigma tools within the QMS framework.
o Identify gaps in system performance and propose improvements.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in a Tier One automotive environment.
* Strong knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC.
* Certified internal auditor (IATF/ISO) preferred.
* Strong communication and facilitation skills; ability to influence across functions.
