Salary: £13.75 - £15 / Hour
A welcoming and supportive primary school in Orrell (WN5) is seeking a committed 1:1 Teaching Assistant to work closely with a Year 6 pupil who requires additional support. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping the pupil prepare for KS2 SATS, so confidence in delivering Year 6 curriculum support is essential.

Requirements:
* Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
* Experience supporting children with SEND or additional needs
* Confidence delivering Year 6 learning and SATS preparation
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
* Calm, patient, reliable, and positive approach
* Ability to use initiative and form supportive relationships
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide tailored 1:1 support to a Year 6 pupil, both academically and emotionally
* Assist with SATS preparation, including adapting learning tasks to the pupil’s needs
* Support day-to-day routines, transitions, and emotional regulation
* Foster confidence, independence, and positive engagement
* Work closely with the class teacher and SENDCo to monitor progress and adjust support strategies
* Help create a structured, supportive, and encouraging learning environment
