My client, a leading professional services business, is seeking an experienced HR Operations Manager / Team Leader to join their growing HR function. This is a fantastic opportunity for a people-focused HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys leading teams to deliver an exceptional HR service.
The Role
Working closely with the Senior HR Manager and the wider HR team, you will oversee the day-to-day running of the HR Administration team, ensuring efficient, compliant, and effective processes. You’ll play a pivotal role in onboarding, lifecycle management, and continuous improvement of HR operations, while supporting the business through periods of growth and change.
This is a varied position where you’ll act as the link between HR, Payroll, and wider business stakeholders, whilst leading projects to enhance the employee experience and streamline workflows.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and develop a team of HR Administrators, providing guidance, support, and opportunities for growth.
* Oversee onboarding and employee lifecycle processes, ensuring a seamless experience for all new joiners.
* Manage compliance with pre-employment checks and oversee the relationship with third-party screening suppliers.
* Support HR projects including system transitions and business integrations.
* Partner with Payroll, Reward, and HR Business Partners to deliver a consistent HR operations service.
* Monitor HR metrics, identify trends, and recommend improvements.
* Champion best practice in HR service delivery, always keeping the employee experience at the heart of what you do.
About You
* Proven experience in HR operations or HR team leadership, ideally within professional services.
* Strong knowledge of HR processes, systems, and compliance requirements.
* CIPD Level 5 minimum (Level 7 advantageous).
* Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
* Strong influencing skills and confidence working with stakeholders at all levels.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Resilient, proactive, and self-motivated.
* Previous experience with Midland HR i-Trent desirable.
