Do you want to make a meaningful difference to young people who need the most support to re-engage with education? This role is based within a values-driven alternative provision that supports students who have struggled to succeed in mainstream settings due to SEMH needs and behavioural challenges. The school provides a highly personalised and nurturing environment, where the focus is on rebuilding confidence, developing emotional resilience and creating positive pathways forward. Staff in this setting understand that behaviour is a form of communication. There is a strong emphasis on trauma-informed practice, restorative approaches and consistent adult support, enabling students to feel safe enough to re-engage with learning. In this role, you will: Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils as a consistent adult presence Support students with emotional regulation and behaviour for learning Deliver targeted interventions and structured support sessions Use de-escalation strategies to manage challenging situations calmly and effectively Encourage engagement with education and support long-term personal development This role is particularly suited to: Youth workers, mentors or sports coaches Graduates in Psychology, Criminology or Education Individuals who are confident, resilient and passionate about supporting SEMH needs This setting offers excellent opportunities to develop your understanding of behaviour, safeguarding and therapeutic approaches, making it ideal for those considering careers in education, social care or psychology. Key Details: Pay: From £14.25/hour Location: BS35 Hours/Working Pattern: Monday-Friday, 37 hours per week INDBRI

Salary / Pay Rate will be dependent on your skills and experience.
