About the Role
Our Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) team is central to Amazon's commitment to innovation. As Amazon evolves, this team ensures that the tools and technologies we use adapt accordingly. As a Senior RME Technician, you will stay one step ahead by adopting the latest technologies and identifying new and efficient ways of working. You will pay close attention to our processes to maintain our high standards and implement upgrades to raise those standards further.
Key Responsibilities
* Demonstrate best practices for using equipment safely and monitor teams to ensure adherence to correct processes.
* Track equipment performance through visual checks, condition‑based monitoring, and preventive maintenance tasks, and schedule additional servicing as required.
* Supervise technicians on shift to support development and act as first point of contact for Reliability Maintenance Engineers.
* Solve equipment issues to reduce downtime for operations so that packages can be processed quickly.
* Identify ways to continually improve systems and standardise processes across the EU network.
A Day in the Life
In every shift, you will lead a team to ensure everyone has the necessary equipment and that it operates correctly. This involves monitoring processes so regulations and policies are followed and ensuring preventive maintenance is carried out to increase equipment uptime. You will observe shifts closely, propose improvements to make systems more efficient and productive, and implement those improvements across an EU-wide function. You will monitor processes with tools like SCADA to guarantee performance, and work closely with your line manager on administrative tasks.
The role is located at an operational site and may involve shift patterns with weekends and nights. You will develop experience that could lead into more senior roles.
