Our Health curriculum includes T Level Health (Adult Nursing pathway), BTEC Health and Social Care, and Access to HE Nursing. The successful candidate will play an important role in maintaining strong curriculum delivery and supporting positive student outcomes across these programmes.

About the role

As Curriculum Leader, you will take responsibility for the academic oversight and coordination of Health programmes, while also contributing directly to teaching. A significant element of the role involves delivering on the T Level Health Adult Nursing pathway, so applicants must have a relevant health background and the ability to teach nursing-related content with confidence and credibility.

You will:

•Support consistency and high standards across Health programmes

•Work closely with colleagues within the department to support student progress and achievement

•Engage positively with awarding body and regulatory requirements

About you

You will:

•Have a relevant health or nursing background, enabling you to teach nursing content

•Hold a degree or equivalent qualification in a health-related subject

•Be confident sharing your professional knowledge with learners

•Be organised, proactive and committed to high-quality education

•Enjoy working collaboratively as part of a team

You do not need previous experience teaching in Further Education or post-16 education to apply. We welcome applications from health professionals who are new to teaching and are interested in moving into education.

Teaching qualification and development

All academic staff are required to hold a recognised teaching qualification. If you do not already have one, we will:

•Support you to train while in post

•Provide time to complete the qualification alongside your role

•Fully cover the cost of the qualification

We are committed to staff development and will support you through mentoring and ongoing professional development.

Why join us?

•A permanent specialist role in a well-established Health curriculum area

•A supportive and collaborative team environment

•The opportunity to contribute to high-quality nursing and health education

•Strong commitment to staff development and progression

•Eligibility to join the Local Government Pension Scheme (defined benefit scheme)

•Discounted hair treatments at the Andover campus salon

•Wide range of CPD events, plus support with professional qualifications

•Several on-site food outlets offering great value meals

•An on-site nursery (operated by a commercial provider)

If you are a health professional with a passion for education and an interest in curriculum development, we would be pleased to hear from you.

We reserve the right to close this vacancy early should we receive sufficient applications.
