Nursery Manager - School Hours & Term Time Only
Protocol Education is seeking an experienced Nursery Manager to work full-time within an EYFS setting at a primary school in Keynsham. The role starts on September 1st, 2025.
The working pattern is: Monday to Thursday and Friday, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. This is a term-time only role, with an option for an additional 5-10 days during school holidays. There is some flexibility with working hours outside of these times.
Responsibilities:
* Lead the Pre-School team to offer high-quality early education
* Manage the day-to-day operations of the pre-school
* Plan and deliver a balanced curriculum using the EYFS framework
* Assess children's development to inform planning, sessions, and interventions
* Ensure safeguarding in collaboration with the school's Designated Safeguarding Leaders
* Improve and evolve the Pre-School provision
* Act as the 'Key Person' for a group of children
* Work closely with the School Early Years Team and SENCo
* Coordinate with the Office Manager regarding admissions, finance, and staffing
* Organize communication and events for parents
The ideal candidate will hold a Level 4 or higher Early Years Qualification.

Pay rates are inclusive of statutory holiday pay. This is a temporary position, with potential for permanency in the future.
