We are currently partnering with a well-established specialist SEN provision in Stockport, supporting pupils aged 4-19 with a range of complex needs. The school is seeking enthusiastic and compassionate Psychology Graduates to join their team from September 2026. This role is ideal for graduates considering careers in educational psychology, teaching, therapy, mental health, or wider SEN support. As a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will: - Build positive and supportive relationships with pupils, promoting both emotional wellbeing and academic progress - Provide classroom-based support to pupils with a range of additional needs - Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, parents, and external professionals to monitor and encourage pupil development - Assist with the preparation of engaging learning materials and classroom resources - Support pupils in developing confidence, communication skills, and positive learning behaviours We are looking for individuals who: - Hold a recent degree in Psychology (BSc or MSc preferred) - Have a genuine passion for supporting children and young people with additional needs - Are patient, empathetic, and eager to develop experience within education or SEN settings - Demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills - Hold up-to-date safeguarding training (desirable, although training can be provided) - Hold the right to work in the UK - Have an enhanced child barred list DBS registered on the online update service, or be willing to apply for one - Be able to provide two professional child-related references If you are looking to build valuable experience in a supportive SEN environment and make a positive impact on young people's educational journeys, we would welcome your application.
