As Technical Team Lead, you’ll manage a team of Casualty technicians, providing day‑to‑day support, technical guidance, and mentoring. You’ll play a key role in ensuring consistent quality, improving processes, and helping the team achieve service and operational goals.
Key areas of responsibility
* Managing and motivating a team of Casualty technicians, ensuring workloads are balanced and delivered on time.
* Acting as the go‑to point for complex technical queries across casualty, employer’s liability, and public liability cases.
* Reviewing and improving workflows and procedures to enhance efficiency and client service.
* Maintaining oversight of compliance, documentation, and internal standards.
* Reporting on team performance, identifying trends, and supporting continuous improvement.
* Working closely with senior management to develop team capability and support ongoing business growth.
* Being a visible and supportive leader — spending one day each week in the Milton Keynes office to collaborate and connect with your team in person.
About You
We’re looking for someone with strong Casualty experience who enjoys leading and developing others. You’ll have a solid understanding of technical processes and a natural ability to bring people together to deliver results.
You’ll ideally have:
* Proven experience in a Casualty, Liability, or technical insurance role (broker or insurer background).
* Previous team leadership or supervisory experience.
* Strong organisational and problem‑solving skills.
* Confidence managing hybrid teams and fostering engagement across locations.
* A proactive mindset, with a focus on quality, consistency, and continuous improvement.
