Supervisor - HGV Mobile Fitter
We are recruiting for a Mobile Fitter Engineer covering the entire Southern Water area. This is a great opportunity to start a new career with Lanes Group.
Location
Based out of the Millbrook depot (Southeast Southampton area) but travelling across all of the Southern Water area: Sussex, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.

About the Role
You will be responsible for a wide variety of vehicle related maintenance including but not limited to:
Hydraulic and High Pressure Jetting Systems
* Possess in-depth knowledge of hydraulic systems, including pumps, hoses, and control mechanisms.
* Specialise in maintaining and troubleshooting high-pressure jetting systems used in drain and sewer cleaning operations.
* Conduct regular inspections and testing to ensure the optimal performance of hydraulic and jetting equipment.
Vehicle Maintenance
* Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of the company's fleet of vehicles, with a particular emphasis on hydraulic components.
* Diagnose and troubleshoot hydraulic and high-pressure jetting system issues to ensure timely and effective repairs.
* Perform preventive maintenance tasks on hydraulic systems to maximise reliability.
Repair and Troubleshooting
* Respond promptly to breakdowns and emergencies involving hydraulic and jetting systems, providing on-site repairs to minimise downtime.
* Utilise diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and rectify technical issues related to high-pressure equipment.
* Collaborate with the wider team to analyse recurring problems and implement preventive measures.
Legislation and Compliance
* Stay up-to-date with relevant legislation and industry standards related to hydraulic systems and high-pressure jetting operations.
* Ensure all maintenance and repair activities comply with health and safety regulations, environmental standards, and industry best practices.
* Implement and promote safe working practices among the team in accordance with legal requirements.
* Be aware of all Lanes Group policies and your responsibilities towards them.
About You
* Hard working and respectful; comply with health and safety standards.
* Strong background in commercial HGV vehicle servicing is essential.
* Class B driving licence and fully recognised industry qualifications (City & Guilds or Industry Equivalent).
* Class C+E / HGV Class 2 Drivers Licence essential.
* IOSH or NEBOSH qualifications useful.
* Previous water industry experience preferred and hydraulics experience desirable.
