About Us
We are The Sofa Shop – home to the UK's largest Smart Sofa Showroom. We specialise in cinema sofas, recliners, beds, and innovative furniture designed for modern living.
We're not your typical furniture business. We're fast-growing, creative, bold with our marketing, and obsessed with delivering a great customer experience both online and offline.
The Opportunity
This isn't a desk job. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll run the operation, manage the team, and be the CEO's right hand. When the CEO isn't in the room — you're the one making sure the vision gets executed.
You'll shadow the CEO closely, lead from the front, and play a key role in every part of the business.
Your Responsibilities
Lead Daily Operations
Oversee showroom performance, warehouse fulfilment, and delivery coordination. You're the engine behind the day-to-day.
Manage and Motivate the Team
Recruit, train, coach, and lead staff across all areas. Track performance, enforce standards, and build a culture of excellence.
Execute the CEO's Vision
Work side-by-side with the CEO. Convert strategy into tasks, make sure instructions are implemented fast, and report back with updates and outcomes.
Ensure Marketing and Content Gets Delivered
Collaborate with marketing to ensure social posts, campaigns, emails, and promotions go live on time, looking sharp and on-brand.
Streamline E-Commerce and Systems
Use tools like Shopify, automations, CRMs, and reporting dashboards to improve efficiency, reduce human error, and boost online performance.
Spot Problems Before They Happen
Fix bottlenecks, improve systems, and keep things running smoothly. You'll find ways to save time, cut costs, and improve the customer journey.
Work Across All Departments
Coordinate with warehouse, showroom, marketing, and customer service teams — making sure everyone is aligned and accountable.
Take Ownership of Compliance and Standards
Keep the showroom safe, legally compliant, and running at a professional standard with accurate paperwork, staff logs, and reporting.
Make Smart Decisions Daily
You'll be trusted to make calls when needed — using good judgment, company values, and business logic to act fast.
