As part of a local housing team within Housing Operations, based in the Wishaw Housing Locality, you will assist the Housing Co-ordinator and Senior Retirement Housing Officer in managing retirement housing complexes. You will work in partnership to develop services for residents within these complexes and the wider community.
Your priorities will include ensuring the safety and wellbeing of residents, providing enhanced housing management and property maintenance services to help residents maintain their tenancies, and supporting the upkeep of the surrounding environment.
Essential qualifications include an S/NVQ level 2 joint Chartered Institute of Housing Award / Principles of Care Unit or equivalent, along with relevant experience working with the public or in housing services. Experience liaising with other agencies is also required.
We seek a proactive individual with an understanding of the issues faced by older people and an approachable nature. You will promote the use of communal and recreational facilities, organizing social events and encouraging participation, which is desirable experience.
You will need to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member through Disclosure Scotland and obtain a satisfactory membership check before starting.
Work pattern: Thursday, Friday, and alternating Wednesdays (17.5 hrs)
