An Offshore Methods Lead is required to support an offshore wind project based out of Eyemouth, Scotland. You will provide essential site engineering services and support the Offshore Construction Superintendent to ensure that project activities are executed in accordance with engineering plans, procedures, and HSE/QAQC requirements.
As the Offshore Methods Lead, you will:
Carry out tasks assigned by the Offshore Construction Superintendent, maintaining close contact with the Offshore Construction Assistant, vessel master, and chief engineer.
Monitor construction and installation operations to ensure adherence to quality standards and acceptable vessel operations.
Develop and apply installation and maintenance methods from office-based work as required.
Use electronic progress reporting tools to monitor and record actual vs planned activities.
Assess subcontractor performance and oversee operational execution.
Coordinate with project personnel and onboard staff to ensure seamless preparation and execution of offshore tasks.
Supervise yard activities associated with offshore construction.
Collaborate with asset management to monitor contractual aspects of assets.
Apply project engineering principles to ongoing construction activities.
Interface with client technical representatives to resolve engineering-related matters.
Perform on-site technical verifications as needed.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
Engineering Master's Degree.
Valid BOSIET (with CA-EBS), offshore medical, and full GWO certification.
Prior experience in offshore project engineering, ideally including wind farm installation projects.
