Our Embedded Systems Solutions department (ESS) encompasses all activities outlined under the Automotive SPICE (ASPICE) process framework, including systems engineering, software engineering, coding, and all levels of functional testing. Beyond core development, ESS also integrates critical supporting processes such as project management, risk assessment, functional safety, and cybersecurity, ensuring compliance with ASPICE standards and delivering reliable, secure, and high-quality embedded systems & solutions.
The Role:
We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Software Architect with a proven track record in automotive inverter systems, including AUTOSAR-based software environments. You will lead the architectural definition and technical execution of embedded software platforms for next-generation electric powertrains, with an emphasis on performance, safety, modularity, and compliance across the development lifecycle.
Area of Responsibility
1. Define, lead, and evolve the role of Inverter Software Architecture for embedded control systems.
2. Architect scalable, modular software platforms for motor control, diagnostics, and power electronics management.
3. Ensure end-to-end compliance with AUTOSAR Classic and Adaptive environments, including configuration, integration, and middleware strategies.
4. Coordinate interface definitions and abstraction layers between hardware, software, and vehicle domains.
5. Implement and validate functional safety (ISO 26262) strategies and requirements through software architecture design.
6. Conduct technical reviews, safety analyses, and performance assessments in collaboration with hardware, systems, and validation teams.
7. Provide technical leadership across the software organization, mentoring engineers on design patterns, code structure, and safety standards.
8. Work directly with OEM and Tier-1 stakeholders to define requirements, support integration, and align software architectures with platform goals.
9. Contribute to innovation in SiC-based architectures, multi-phase inverter control, and next-gen fault detection strategies.
Knowledge / Experience
Required
10. Bachelor’s or master’s in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline.
11. 7+ years’ experience in automotive embedded software architecture, focused on inverter systems and AUTOSAR environments.
12. Expert-level proficiency in C/C++, MATLAB/Simulink, and model-based development workflows.
13. In-depth knowledge of motor control algorithms, PWM strategies, and inverter signal processing.
14. Experience with RTOS, CAN, SPI, and other automotive communication protocols.
15. Hands-on involvement in safety lifecycle tasks, software safety concepts, and cybersecurity planning.
Preferred Skills
16. AUTOSAR Classic and Adaptive toolchain experience, including MCAL and BSW configuration.
17. Knowledge of battery management systems (BMS) and high-voltage architecture integration.
18. Familiarity with HIL platforms and simulation-based architecture verification.
19. Exposure to AI/ML frameworks for fault prediction or motor optimization.
