Pinnacle Group is looking for an experienced Caretaker to ensure our buildings and facilities are well-maintained, secure, fully functional, and compliant with Health & Safety standards.
You will join our Facilities Management team based at Uplands School in Swindon. Your responsibilities will include routine maintenance, managing repairs, ensuring security protocols are followed, and maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of the premises. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and possesses excellent problem-solving skills. This is a permanent position, working 37.5 hours per week from 10 AM to 6 PM. These hours are open to possible change.

Key responsibilities:
* Ensure the security of school buildings and grounds through locking/unlocking, patrols, and monitoring.
* Perform Planned Preventative Maintenance tasks in accordance with each school's schedule and your skills.
* Assist service providers on site for remedial or scheduled maintenance, providing access and liaison as needed.
* Carry out minor repairs and decoration works.
* Respond to emergencies such as floods or bodily fluids, implementing temporary or permanent solutions as per procedures and timeframes.
* Conduct checks of BMS, boilers, hot water systems, pest inspections, drains, gullies, and plant rooms.
* Perform daily duties such as litter picking, bin emptying, sweeping, and restroom maintenance.
Key Requirements
* General handyman skills, including minor plumbing, carpentry, electrical work, and DIY abilities.
* A friendly and approachable personality.
* Ability to liaise with and assist external service providers.
* Ability to work effectively in a team.
