We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team, providing high-quality support to individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health needs. This role is central to promoting independence, well-being, and positive outcomes using a person-centred approach, underpinned by Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) principles. We are looking for someone who is flexible, a driver, and passionate about making a real difference in people’s lives.
Key Responsibilities
* Support individuals in their daily routines, encouraging autonomy and choice.
* Implement personalised care and behaviour support plans, including PBS strategies.
* Provide consistent emotional and mental health support, fostering trust and resilience.
* Promote personal development through structured activities and community engagement.
* Maintain professional communication with individuals, families, and health and social care professionals.
* Accurately document support provided, behaviours, incidents, and progress in a confidential manner.
* Ensure safe transportation to and from activities, appointments, and community outings.
* Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all individuals.
Essential Skills and Experience
* Experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health challenges.
* Familiarity with or training in Positive Behaviour Support (PBS).
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
* Basic IT skills for maintaining accurate records and communication.
* A full driving licence is essential due to the travel requirements of the role.
* A flexible and proactive approach to shift patterns, including evenings and weekends.
Pay Rate
The pay rate is open to discussion and will depend on experience and qualifications.
