Main Purpose of Role As Head of Finance Operations, you will be a key member of the Divisional Finance Leadership team reporting directly to the Finance Director of GDHV UK&I. This is an influential and high-profile role, helping to deliver transformative change for the Glen Dimplex Group in a significant multi-site manufacturing project. You will work with senior executives to provide meaningful insight and analysis, drive performance and value improvement. This role will partner with the Managing Director of Operations who has responsibility for manufacturing and supply chain and work closely with the Operations Leadership team to partner with them in their respective areas. This individual will lead the GDHV Finance Operations Team, who controlling, monitoring and reporting for the factories across the division and partnering with the teams in manufacturing, supply chain, logistics and planning on all associated activities. The role also has responsibility for payroll processing for UK & I across all sites. The Head of Finance Operations will be a key member of the team involved in determining the Operations strategy roadmap and have a key role is the preparation and assessment of relevant capital expenditure and investment proposals. Key Accountabilities Senior Finance Business Partner to the Operations Function. Working closely with the MD of Operations to make a strong strategic and operational contribution to the success of the business. Manage and drive the cadence of reporting for the Operations Scorecard, standard cost of production, variances analysis, functional spend analysis, to draw meaningful business conclusions to recommend course of action Utilise data, systems and reporting within and outside of SAP, to provide visibility on additional value add opportunities across the business. Employ current SAP implementation learnings and future development to unlock this potential. Be a leader in change management who provides direction, guidance and support for change Oversee, direct and manage the work of the Operations Finance Team promoting a culture of high performance and continuous improvement. Ownership and responsibility for delivering the GDHV financial planning process for Operations including cost reviews, annual budgets, quarterly reforecasts and five-year financial projections. Provide insightful analytical and operational input into the supply review and Integrated Business Planning processes. Overseeing the delivery of the cost effectiveness and efficiency programs across manufacturing, logistics and the supply-chain. Develop the reporting and metrics to assist in achieving improvements in Working Capital investment and ROCE. Delivering proactive ad-hoc financial analysis to support BU decision making in areas such as procurement, supplier reviews, logistics, cost structures etc Taking ownership for the management of the capital approval process when relevant to Operations, Logistics and the Supply chain. Essential Criteria Skills, Knowledge and Experience Qualified accountant - ACA, ACCA or CIMA. Strong post qualification experience gained in a fast moving and dynamic business. Experience with manufacturing and SAP is a distinct advantage. Strong people management experience. Leads and develops a team recognising the importance role of all team members. Excellent communicator can deal effectively with financial and non-financial people and is focused on building and maintaining excellent working relationships across the business. Excellent written communication skills with experience of report preparation for senior management up to board level. Takes full ownership of areas of own responsibility and is totally delivery focused. Results oriented, with the ability to take decisions quickly when necessary and the resilience to challenge/be challenged. The ideal candidate will be a problem solver with good influencing skills and a logical approach to complicated tasks - Will have experience of working to tight deadlines in a detail oriented performance driven business. Desirable Criteria Experience within a multi-site/global manufacturing standard costing environment. Experience of working within an Integrated Business Planning structure. In addition, occasional travel may be required to Lithuania, Norway, Germany and Benelux countries.
