Rutherford Cross is delighted to be supporting a business is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant. The post-holder will support the finance team in Prestwick across key transactional areas including cash management, expenses, accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR). This role is ideal for someone with a steady set of hands, a strong work ethic and a keen eye for detail. Key Responsibilities Cash Management: Daily bank reconciliations Monitoring cash flow and reporting variances Assisting with cash forecasting Expenses: Processing employee expense claims in line with company policy Ensuring timely reimbursement and accurate coding Supporting month-end expense accruals Accounts Payable (AP): Matching, batching and coding invoices Supplier statement reconciliations Preparing payment runs and resolving queries Accounts Receivable (AR): Raising and sending customer invoices Chasing outstanding payments Allocating receipts and maintaining accurate debtor records Supporting month-end close activities and assisting with audit queries Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation Contributing to process improvements and system integrity Skills & Experience Previous experience in a similar finance or accounts role Strong attention to detail and accuracy Good working knowledge of Excel and accounting systems Excellent organisational and time management skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team A proactive attitude and willingness to learn Benefits Flexible working hours Supportive team environment Opportunities for development and progression Pension and other standard benefits 33 days holiday For more information on the role, please contact Ally Deas at Rutherford Cross.
