Recruitment Consultant - Fawkes and Reece
This is an exciting opportunity to work with a well‑established main contractor who are looking to bring in an experienced Estimator or Senior Estimator to their growing team. The company specialises in commercial, logistics and retail projects and we are therefore looking for somebody who can bring a strong commercial awareness, attention to detail and a proactive approach to tendering and cost planning.
For this position, we are looking for somebody with 5+ years experience in an Estimating role for a construction business (Main Contractor).
As an Estimator you will:
* Manage tender process, review tender documents, engage with subcontractors/suppliers and obtain quotes, perform package costing.
* Prepare full bid submissions, cost breakdowns, preliminaries, risk allowances and profit margins.
* Liaise with design, pre-construction and operations teams to ensure buildability, cost control and compliance with the company's standards.
* Perform cost comparisons, value engineering options and risk assessments.
* Ensure compliance with the company's emphasis on sustainability, health and safety and quality standards, all core values of the business.
