Job Description

We are seeking a Wellbeing Physiologist Rehabilitation to provide expert assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation services to clients recovering from injuries, as well as those aiming to enhance performance and prevent future injuries. This role involves delivering tailored care plans that align with clients’ goals and lifestyles through a collaborative and evidence-based approach. The successful candidate will be committed to promoting recovery, improving overall performance, and supporting long-term health and wellbeing.


This is a full time role based in Barrow-In-Furness, where the successful applicant will work Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week.


* Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients’ musculoskeletal conditions, identifying root causes of injuries or movement dysfunctions.
* Develop and implement personalised rehabilitation programmes using evidence-based techniques to aid recovery and enhance performance.
* Provide hands-on therapy, such as soft tissue techniques, joint mobilisation, and other manual therapies, as appropriate.
* Educate clients on injury prevention strategies, biomechanics, and exercise techniques to minimise the risk of re-injury.
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including physiotherapists, sports physicians, and strength and conditioning coaches, to ensure a multidisciplinary approach.
* Monitor clients’ progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to achieve optimal outcomes.
* Deliver individual and group-based evidence-based exercise sessions tailored to all levels of exercise competence.
* Facilitate group-based functional rehabilitation programmes centred around building autonomy through discussion and exercise programming.
* Design innovative occupational health programmes in collaboration with the wider multidisciplinary clinical team and the client.
* Maintain accurate client records in line with Health Partners' standards and regulatory requirements.


We are looking for a qualified and experienced individual with a recognised degree or equivalent qualification in Sports Rehabilitation, Sports Therapy, Physiotherapy, or a related field, along with full membership of a relevant professional body such as BASRaT or SST. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of anatomy, biomechanics, and exercise prescription principles, as well as proven experience in assessing, treating, and rehabilitating musculoskeletal injuries.

You should be comfortable working with diverse populations, including those with chronic illnesses, disabilities, and mental health conditions, and be adept at tailoring exercises to meet individual needs.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as is the ability to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team. A commitment to professional development and continuous learning is key. Desirable skills include knowledge of strength and conditioning principles, a master’s degree in a relevant field, and familiarity with coaching software and health tracking technology.


The salary for this role is competitive and dependent on qualifications and experience.
