Ocean Infinity is seeking an experienced, self-driven CAD Engineer who takes pride in their use of Solidworks. We have a need to showcase our fleet of vessels in a coherent, parametric environment. The successful candidate will be able to use Solidworks to the highest level of proficiency. They will work closely with the companies Solutionists, Tech Team, Programme Management Office, HSEQ, Fleet Mobilisation and Operational Service Delivery. The individual will proactively showcase their work by engaging with the aforementioned teams. What will you do: Model all Payloads & Vessels in Solidworks; Import third-party CAD models of purchased technology; Create SolidWorks visualise renderers and animations for project proposals Optimise the company’s assets in a 3D environment; Carefully curate & update any changes to the vessel configuration; Assist the Head of Tech. QA with ISO9001/14001 & 45001 compliance; Assist the Product Data Controller with the curation & upkeep of Solidworks PDM; Support vessel & marine system readiness; Deliver specialist engineering support of operations; Who you are: 3 years’ experience of Solidworks; Experience in engineering best practices (including adherence to ISO129-1 & BS8888); Strong interpersonal and time management skills; Driven, proactive and able to work autonomously with little supervision towards the company's purpose; Critical thinking and ability to show initiative; Open and receptive to new and different ideas; Thoughtful, thorough and conscientious; Ability to take ownership and engagement in the work; Desirable: Certified Solidworks Professional. Use of SolidWorks visualisation tools and understanding of video editing software. High level of proficiency in Product Data Management (Solidworks PDM) is highly desirable. Experience in a high integrity engineering field is desirable (e.g. automotive, aerospace, marine and/or defence). Salary for this position: Around £40,000 PA Salary : The salary varies for this position as we are recruiting in multiple regional locations and job grades. The salary process is based on skills, abilities, and experience required.
