Cobalt is partnering with a respected housebuilder to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor to manage full commercial delivery across multiple residential schemes. This role offers ownership of budgets, procurement and commercial reporting from pre-construction through to completion.

The Role
Reporting to the Commercial Director, you will take responsibility for managing project costs, tendering, subcontractor negotiations and monthly valuations. Key duties include:
* Preparing project and regional budgets and monitoring throughout.
* Producing tender packages, analysing returns and recommending preferred suppliers.
* Negotiating orders and managing variations.
* Managing interim valuations, bank valuations and cost-to-value reconciliations.
* Monitoring materials on site and ensuring invoice accuracy.
* Preparing sales extras and incentive pricing.
* Overseeing junior surveyors where required.
* Supporting land appraisals and cost-to-complete exercises.
Skills & Experience Needed
* Strong working knowledge of residential housebuilding.
* Solid commercial and construction understanding.
* Confident communicator with effective negotiation skills.
* Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
* Competent IT user; COINS experience is advantageous.
