Maintenance Engineer
Location: Birmingham
Salary: £50,000
Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off (Days & Nights)
Role Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established, global manufacturing business within a highly regulated industrial environment.
This role is ideal for an engineer with both mechanical and electrical experience, looking to develop their career within a major brand offering long-term stability and progression.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across production and site equipment
Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults to minimise downtime
Maintain and troubleshoot industrial systems including steam, water, and associated utilities
Support the continuous operation of manufacturing processes in a high-performance production environment
Conduct equipment inspections and ensure machinery is operating safely and efficiently
Assist with installation, commissioning, and improvement of new and existing equipment
Work collaboratively with production teams to drive reliability and efficiency improvements
Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety regulations and company standards
Accurately complete maintenance documentation and reports
Skills & Experience Required
Strong background in both mechanical and electrical maintenance
Experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment
Knowledge of steam systems, water systems, and industrial utilities
Proven ability in fault finding and problem solving
Experience working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Relevant engineering qualification (NVQ, HNC/HND or equivalent)
