We are looking for a driven, intelligent, and articulate Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our growing team. This is a critical role responsible for identifying and creating new opportunities with the future clients of Excellon Digital.


The Role


As our Business Development Representative, you will be the first point of contact for our prospective clients, embodying our values of clarity, partnership, and a relentless focus on results. Your primary responsibility is to identify and engage with our ideal customer personas—"Sam the Scaler" (the growth-focused Founder) and "Maria the Marketer" (the resource-strapped Marketing Manager)—and to qualify them for our "Free Strategy Review" with a senior consultant.

This isn't a typical high-volume, low-quality sales role. It's about intelligent, value-led outreach and building genuine connections with business leaders who need our help.


Key Responsibilities:


* Prospecting & Identification: Proactively identify and research ambitious SMEs and their key decision-makers (Founders, MDs, Marketing Managers) who fit our ideal customer profiles.
* Value-Led Outreach: Craft and execute personalised outreach campaigns via email, LinkedIn, and phone. Your communication will be articulate and jargon-free, focusing on the specific pain points and business goals of our target personas.
* Qualify & Nurture: Engage prospects in meaningful conversations to understand their challenges, educate them on our approach, and qualify their suitability for our services.
* Book Strategy Reviews: Your primary goal is to book qualified appointments for our "Free Business & Marketing Strategy Review" with our senior strategy team. You will be responsible for ensuring our strategists' diaries are filled with high-potential prospects.
* CRM Management: Meticulously track all activities, conversations, and data in our CRM system to ensure a seamless handover to the strategy team and to inform future outreach efforts.
* Collaborate with Marketing: Work closely with the marketing team to provide feedback on campaign effectiveness and to leverage content (case studies, webinars, whitepapers) in your outreach sequences.

* A Strategic Thinker: You understand business fundamentals and can quickly grasp a prospect's challenges. You don't just follow a script; you adapt your approach based on the conversation.
* Driven & Resilient: You are motivated by achieving targets and are not discouraged by rejection. You see challenges as opportunities to learn and improve.
* Tech-Savvy: You are proficient with CRM systems and doing email outreach.
* A Natural Partner: You align with our core values of transparency and partnership. You are motivated by helping clients succeed, not just by hitting a quota.
* Experience: 1-3 years of experience in a BDR, SDR, or similar business development role, preferably within a B2B service, SaaS, or agency environment.

* Organisation and Time Management: Ability to juggle multiple accounts, prioritise tasks, and manage their schedule effectively.
* Curiosity: A genuine interest in learning about the industry, product, competitors, and customer needs.
* Coachability: Openness to feedback, willingness to learn and improve, and actively seeking advice.
* Creativity: Finding innovative ways to engage prospects and stand out from the competition.
* Strategic Thinking/Analytical Mindset: Ability to analyse data, identify trends, and leverage insights to inform their outreach strategies.
* Relationship Building: Skilled at building rapport and fostering connections, even in initial interactions.
* Team Player Mentality: Willingness to collaborate with sales and marketing teams.


What We Offer


* A Highly Attractive, Uncapped Commission Structure: This is a commission-only role designed to reward high performers. High ticket sales and will be 10% on the profit on sales e.g. £2500 sale around £300 per sale. Commission structure based on signing up the client.
