About The Role
The Student Wellbeing Adviser will collaborate with the Student Life & Wellbeing Manager and Student Services Team to support students' health and wellbeing, providing advice, support, signposting, and follow-up services to students facing various challenges affecting their studies and mental health.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as a point of contact for student support services within AD Education UK.
* Support students with disabilities, mental health, and medical conditions by creating Support Agreements and communicating reasonable adjustments.
* Assess and manage risks, ensuring students access appropriate support packages.
* Support students' transition into higher education and facilitate wellbeing drop-in sessions.
* Provide advice and signposting for financial hardship, accommodation issues, homelessness, and crisis situations.
* Support care-experienced and estranged students with practical and emotional guidance.
* Use student data to identify and intervene early for at-risk students.
* Develop links with external agencies and professionals to provide comprehensive support.
* Contribute to wellbeing projects and support students returning after mental health crises.
* Act as Safeguarding Officer, identifying at-risk students and escalating concerns appropriately.
