About the role
The desired Learning Support Assistant (LSA) will be supported by an outstanding and passionate management team, and will work alongside some excellent practitioners, who put children at the heart of everything they do. The desired Learning Support Assistant will be required to support a range of students across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4). This role will include a mixture of full classroom support and one-to-one support.
1. Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with special educational needs (SEN) or disabilities, both inside and outside the classroom.
2. Assist students with academic tasks, including reading, writing, and mathematics, adapting materials and activities as needed to accommodate individual learning styles.
3. Support students in developing essential life skills, social skills, and independence.
4. Collaborate with teachers to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and monitor student progress.
5. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported.
6. Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and other stakeholders.

Requirements
To be considered for the role of Learning Support Assistant you will:
7. Relevant experience working with children or young people, particularly those with SEN or disabilities (experience within a school setting is desirable but not essential).
8. A compassionate and patient demeanor, with the ability to build rapport with students and support their emotional well-being.
9. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and engage with parents and external professionals.
10. Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to respond to the changing needs of students and the school environment.

Salary
£78 to £91 per day
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
