Job Title: Payroll Manager
Salary: £50,000
Contract: 12-month Fixed Term Contract
Structure: Hybrid - 3 days in the office
Location: Colchester
The role is a great opportunity for an ambitious Payroll Manager to join a dynamic team where there is scope to make impactful changes.
Responsibilities:
* Manage end-to-end payroll services for various clients.
* Handle auto-enrollment, RTI reporting, year-end processes, starter and leaver administration, and payment runs.
* Liaise with HMRC and pension providers, and address client queries.
* Lead and support a team of Payroll Administrators, delegating tasks and reviewing work regularly.
* Keep partners informed about payroll legislation changes and departmental performance to aid business decision-making.
Experience & Skills:
* Minimum of 5 years' experience in payroll, preferably within accountancy practice.
* Experience managing multiple payrolls.
* Knowledge of various pay types—weekly, monthly, commissions, and bonuses.
* Management experience.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and payroll processing software, with the ability to adapt to new systems quickly.
* Strong initiative, teamwork, and client relationship-building skills.
* Excellent communication skills.
