Warehouse Picker
📍 Location: Ipswich, Suffolk
💷 Pay Rate: £12.21 per hour
🕒 Hours: Mondays and Tuesdays, 09:00 17:00, with the possibility of extra days depending on workloads
📅 Contract Type: Temporary / Ad-hoc (46 weeks initially)
About the Role
We're looking for a Warehouse Picker to provide short-term cover and support day-to-day warehouse operations.
This hands-on role is ideal for someone reliable and organised. You'll help ensure orders are picked accurately, stock is handled safely, and the warehouse runs smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
Pick and prepare customer orders accurately and efficiently.
Load and unload deliveries, including assisting with container devanning when required.
Maintain an organised, tidy, and safe working environment.
Support general warehouse duties such as stock replenishment, labelling, and pallet preparation.
Follow all site health and safety procedures.
Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.
What We're Looking For
Essential Skills & Attributes:
Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or order-picking role.
Good written and spoken English (able to read picking notes and safety information).
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated.
Physically fit and able to perform manual handling tasks.
Team player who can also work independently when required.
Desirable:
Knowledge of goods-in / goods-out processes.
