The Role:
As a Quality Inspector, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance. Your responsibilities will include:
Carrying out inspections, qualifications, First Article Inspections (FAIR), testing, and release activities on products prior to booking into Finished Goods
Conducting detailed inspections of manufactured parts to ensure compliance with QMS and adherence to manufacturing routing and quality plans
Ensuring product traceability, batch control, and proper handling of materials to meet regulatory and internal standards
Applying the Release Stamp in line with QMS Stamp Control Procedures
Monitoring and reporting on subcontractor performance, as well as scrap and rework data to support continuous improvement initiatives
Performing testing and inspections such as Gauge R&R studies, hardness testing, conductivity testing, and bridge testing
Working collaboratively with customers and suppliers to resolve product or quality-related concerns and drive improvements
Experience and Skills:
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Proven experience in quality engineering within aerospace manufacturing or a similar precision engineering environment
Proficiency in using a range of measurement tools and equipment, including micrometers, Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), and tensile testing machines
Solid understanding of ISO9001:2008 and AS9100 standards
A strong background in inspection, testing, and product release processes
Excellent communication skills and a keen eye for detail
