Responsibilities Day-to-day responsibilities include:
Assisting the resident Physical Therapist in all aspects of member therapy and care plan needs
Providing interventions based on specific needs, including therapeutic exercise, gait training, ambulation and other physical assistance
Monitoring and documenting treatments and interventions, ensuring all members of interdisciplinary teams have access to this vital information
Updating Plans of Care based on progress and evolving needs
Identifying areas for individual and group improvements and enhancements, and implementing new procedures and processes under the supervision of the Physical Therapist
Developing group exercise programs for maintenance therapy members
Aiding in in-home treatment programs, including goal setting and exercise, plus family and caregiver education
Assessing progress and determining comprehensive courses of action to improve outcomes or maintain success
Additional responsibilities as needed
Qualifications Candidates must be licensed Physical Therapy Assistants in Pennsylvania, and be committed to the coursework/workshops required to maintain licensing. Additionally, candidates should have at least one year’s experience working in a PTA role. A valid Pennsylvania driver’s license is also required to be considered for this position.
