Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Health & Safety Manager to oversee and enhance our health and safety protocols within the company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, promoting a culture of safety, and implementing effective training programmes. This role requires strong communication skills to effectively engage with a diverse workforce.
Responsibilities
* Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies and procedures in accordance with local regulations.
* Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
* Lead health and safety training sessions for staff to ensure understanding of protocols and compliance requirements.
* Investigate incidents and accidents, preparing detailed reports with recommendations for prevention.
* Collaborate with management to foster a proactive safety culture across all departments.
* Monitor the effectiveness of health and safety initiatives, providing feedback for continuous improvement.
* Maintain accurate records of health and safety activities, ensuring documentation is up-to-date and accessible.
* Serve as the primary point of contact for health and safety-related inquiries from employees.
Experience
* Proven experience in a health and safety management role, preferably within a similar industry.
* Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and best practices in health and safety.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
