Glasgow City Council (GCC) is the largest local authority in Scotland, with over 30,000 employees across the ‘Glasgow family’ providing residents with a diverse range of services. Working in either our Financial Services or Chief Executive’s Department, you will support our Assessors and Electoral Registration Office or our Economic Development team.
The roles offered present a fantastic opportunity to gain a wide range of administration, customer service, and business experience. Providing excellent customer service is a priority, and we aim to ensure all customers are treated in a friendly, polite, and professional manner. You will also provide administrative support to the team, assisting with various tasks in a busy admin environment.
Key Responsibilities
* This vacancy is available to the following groups:
o 16-19 year olds
o 20-29 year olds with a disability
o 20-29 year olds who are care experienced
* Recruiting Business Administration Modern Apprentices to work in either Financial Services or the Chief Executive’s Department to provide high-quality, responsive support services.
* Delivering high standards of customer service and gaining knowledge of the services provided and the processes required.
* Carrying out clerical and administrative duties, including using IT systems and applications to process requests and log information, with good PC skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
* Studying towards a Scottish Vocational Qualification (SVQ), applying learning to real-life business environments, and receiving first-class training and experience.
* Performing general clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, responding to emails, answering calls, and inputting data into databases, always maintaining high standards of customer service.

Education and Qualifications
Nat 4 English and Maths are desirable.
