JD Group, a leading omni‑channel retailer of sports fashion, outdoors & gyms, is looking for an Assistant Store Manager to help achieve sales & KPI targets and drive store growth.
Responsibilities
* Support the Store Manager in day‑to‑day operations, ensuring sales & KPI targets are met.
* Set sales goals, analyse performance, and implement processes to grow sales.
* Recruit, train, and develop staff, fostering a positive team culture.
* Handle cash management, opening/closing procedures and reconcile tills.
* Act as the point of contact in the Store Manager’s absence.
* Ensure excellent customer service, handling enquiries and resolving complaints.
* Maintain stock accuracy and support audit processes.
* Track and report on key metrics such as Units, Conversion, ATV, UPT and Net Promotor Score.
Skills and Experience
* Previous supervisory or management experience in a fast‑paced retail environment.
* Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets and KPIs.
* Strong communication and coaching skills.
* Analytical ability to interpret KPI data and make commercial decisions.
* Knowledge of visual merchandising and retail trends is an advantage.
* Passion for retail and a good understanding of JD Group values.
