*Job Summary* We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Years Practitioner / Nursery Nurse to join a early childhood education team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care and educational support to young children within a nurturing environment. This role offers an opportunity to utilise management and leadership skills while fostering a safe and stimulating space for children's development. The Nursery Nurse will work closely with colleagues and parents to ensure the well-being and progress of each child, contributing to their social, emotional, and educational growth. *Responsibilities* * Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development in line with early childhood education standards * Supervise children during playtime, meals, naps, and other daily routines, ensuring their safety at all times * Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming nursery environment * Support children's emotional well-being by providing comfort and reassurance as needed * Collaborate with colleagues to develop individualised care plans for children requiring special attention * Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, behaviour, and any concerns * Manage daily administrative tasks such as record keeping and activity planning * Demonstrate leadership by guiding junior staff or interns when necessary * Assist in the organisation of nursery events and outings, including driving where required *Skills* * Proven experience working with children within a nursery or childcare setting * Strong management and leadership abilities to oversee daily operations and support team members * Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written * Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childcare regulations * Ability to create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for young children * Organisational skills to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently * Compassionate approach with a genuine interest in child development * Valid driving licence is desirable for transporting children or attending off-site activities Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: £26,000.00-£29,650.00 per year Benefits: * Additional leave * Company pension * Enhanced maternity leave * Health & wellbeing programme * On-site parking * Sick pay Ability to commute/relocate: * Godalming GU8: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred) Licence/Certification: * Level 3 Childcare & Education (preferred) Work Location: In person
