Role Description
We need Sessional Outdoor Practitioners
We are looking for enthusiastic and friendly people, willing to support the Practitioners and Manager to deliver high quality outdoor ELC, supporting the care and welfare of the children in our setting.
The role will vary and might include:
* serving lunch or snack;
* helping with opening and closing routines including additional cleaning schedules;
* helping with children's personal care and clothing needs;
* supporting the children to navigate the routines of the day, including visits into the Deer Centre.
You will also support the children's play and learning experiences throughout the day, under the guidance of the staff team.
The role is ideally suited to an individual who is comfortable in the outdoors, in all weathers, and has knowledge and experience of working with preschool children and those under 3.
Responsibilities
* Support the Early Years team in setting up our outdoor spaces;
* Support the ELC team in delivering outdoors childcare and learning experiences;
* Support children with personal care and managing their own needs in all weathers;
* Support and implement the daily routine including snack, lunches and cleaning rota's;
* Comply with organisational policies and procedures;
* Follow Risk Assessments, Health and Safety procedures, reporting accidents and incidents to the Manager/Senior team.
Essential Skills & Abilities
* Registered or willing to register with SSSC
* Must be eligible to work in the UK
Person Specification Essential Criteria
* Qualified to SCQF level 7 in (SVQ 3) Social Service, Children and Young People, or willing to work towards this
* Role is subject to background checks and PVG membership
* Must be able to follow Health and Safety procedures
* Experience of working outdoors or evidence of willing to work in an outdoor environment

* Rate of pay £12.50 per hour
