Youll lead and inspire a dedicated finance team, ensuring we provide a professional, proactive and responsive service to colleagues across the Group. Youll also play a key part in continuing our finance transformation journey; strengthening systems, processes and controls to support sustainable growth and innovation Role Highlights Job Title: Head of Finance Location: Split between our Community & Activity Village in Newark & the Malt Cross in Nottingham with 1 day working from home Salary:?£70,000 Hours: 37.5 hours per week The Role Leading the finance team to deliver accurate, timely and insightful financial management information. Embedding robust financial control, ensuring compliance with accountancy standards, Charity Commission, Homes England and other regulatory requirements. Driving continuous improvement in systems, policies and processes with a focus on streamlining end-to-end operations. Producing cash flow forecasts, budgets, financial models and scenario planning to guide decision-making and support our ambitious plans. Partnering with Executive and Senior Leaders, supporting them to manage budgets effectively and achieve value for money. Preparing Annual Accounts in line with SORP Charity standards and supporting business planning and forecasting cycles. Acting as a proactive and collaborative senior leader, deputising for the CFO when required, and living our YMCA values in everything you do. About You Does this sound like you? Youll be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with a proven track record of leading finance functions at a senior level. Youll combine technical expertise with the ability to see the bigger picture, bringing both rigour and creativity to your work. You will bring a successful track record of policy formulation, change management and strategic development Substantial experience of developing and implementing financial control procedures More importantly, youll be someone who thrives on collaboration, can inspire and lead a team, and who is motivated by the opportunity to use your skills to create real social impact.
