6 month Fixed Term Contract
Job Purpose
Provide guidance and support to IBX teams in meeting routine Health & Safety requirements, ensuring compliance and best practice. Assist with internal and external audits while working closely with the existing H&S team to strengthen knowledge and drive continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
1. Lead site assurance visits to verify compliance against Legal and Equinix Standards, procedures and processes.
2. Support stakeholders by providing relevant H&S performance data
3. Advise stakeholders and contractors on H&S matters, including compliance with applicable legislation, industry best practice and Equinix Management System, Standards, Processes, and Procedures.
4. Lead high-risk incident investigations which should identify non-compliance, root causes, and associated risks, with action plans agreed with the site management team.
5. Verify incidents, actions and safety observations being tracked to closure promptly to avoid becoming overdue.
6. Support stakeholders in identifying training requirements, including reviewing and monitoring of Team Skills Registers etc.
7. Build collaborative relationships with stakeholders and Contractors to review and maintain performance and drive continuous improvement.
8. Lead or support individual ad-hoc projects as directed and in line with current business needs and priorities.
Job Requirements
Education/Qualifications/Training
9. In-depth understanding of UK Safety, Health and Wellbeing Legislation.
10. Proficient in the use of Microsoft applications, specifically Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel.
11. Technical knowledge of a related or operational industry, e.g. utilities, infrastructure, transport, manufacturing or construction, is advantageous, though not essential.
12. NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent and/ or ability to demonstrate significant experience in an operational environment.

18. Competence in introducing innovative H&S initiatives as well as adopting established systems.
19. Ability to introduce new ideas on H & S as well as adopting already established systems
