Grinder | £20 p/h | Quarterly Bonus | Generous Pension | Flexible Hours | 1pm Friday Finish A Grinder opportunity has become available within a well-established precision engineering business supplying complex components into demanding manufacturing sectors. This role will support tooling, grinding and toolroom activities across production, ensuring high-quality tooling and precision parts are delivered to tight tolerances and production deadlines. Grinder responsibilities include - * Operating surface, universal and jig grinding machines to manufacture and maintain precision tooling and components. * Producing spare parts, regrinding tooling and supporting preventative maintenance activities across the toolroom. * Supporting production teams with tooling issues, repairs and continuous improvement activities. * Reading and interpreting engineering drawings to ensure components meet required specifications and tolerances. * Maintaining high standards of quality, housekeeping and safety within the toolroom environment. * Supporting apprentices and sharing knowledge across the wider engineering team.
