Overview
*
Undertake and check detailed design and preparation of electrical and instrumentation engineering deliverables for new and existing products, including electrical schematics, PLC equipment, and control panel layouts.
*
Assist senior engineers with the preparation of outline design schemes.
*
Produce electrical schematics, general arrangement drawings, and supporting documentation under the direction of engineers.
*
Assist with the checking of documents and carry out detailed calculations.
*
Understand and interpret detailed electrical, hydraulic, process, and instrumentation drawings.
*
Plan, control, and undertake day-to-day electrical engineering tasks using Autodesk AutoCAD 2D software.
*
Assist with the execution of contracts to supply equipment or services.
*
Liaise with colleagues to ensure all electrical and instrumentation project deliverables required under contract are delivered in accordance with the project schedule.
Required Qualifications, Training & Skills
Essential
*
Level 4 HNC in Electrical Engineering (or similar/higher qualification).
*
1–2 years’ experience in an electrical design role.
*
Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
*
Previous experience using CAD software (AutoCAD 2D).
*
Self-motivated, proactive, and willing to adapt to change while progressing projects.
Desirable
*
Previous experience with onshore or offshore marine equipment.
*
Experience using Autodesk Inventor to review layouts and provide feedback on installation equipment positioning.
