1:1 SEN Learning Support Assistant – Hedge End
Contract – Part Time and Full Time available

What You’ll Bring
* Previous experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a school or similar setting
* A calm, patient and understanding approach to behaviour and communication
* Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with pupils, staff and families
* Flexibility to adapt your support to meet the unique needs of an individual child
* Reliability, resilience and a positive, proactive attitude
* A relevant qualification (Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching & Learning) is desirable but not essential
Your Role in School
As a 1:1 SEN LSA in Hedge End, you will be providing dedicated support to a pupil who needs additional help to succeed in their learning. Your role will include:
* Delivering consistent, personalised 1:1 support throughout the school day
* Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement structured, accessible learning activities
* Supporting communication, emotional regulation and positive behaviour using appropriate strategies
* Adapting or preparing resources in line with the child’s EHCP and individual learning goals
* Helping to create a safe, calm and inclusive learning environment
* Liaising with teaching staff and parents to ensure the child feels supported, understood and valued

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
