We’re looking for a Clinical Nurse Specialist - Tissue Viability Nurse to join our team at The Princess Grace Hospital, part of HCA Healthcare UK on a fixed term contract until 31 July 2026. As a Tissue Viability Nurse, you will provide expert knowledge and lead the clinical management of complex wound care within the Princess Grace Hospital, a world-leading private hospital specialising in Complex Surgery and Acute Medicine.
Duties and responsibilities
* Lead the provision of specialist advice for the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of tissue viability conditions, including related advanced tissue viability techniques.
* Support and mentor junior staff, acting as a clinical expert and role model.
* Provide a high-quality holistic service for patients requiring specialist tissue viability knowledge and skills to advise staff, patients and carers.
* Collaborate with senior nursing, allied health professionals and medical teams; review themes from incidents and performance metrics; lead practice changes and ensure best practices in evidence-based care.
* Coordinate audits, undertake research related to local and national criteria to develop and improve wound care management strategies; represent the Hospital and Tissue Viability Service at local and national events.
* Manage and deliver a robust training programme, formal and informal, to the MDT regarding pressure ulcer prevention and wound management.
* Support the infection prevention agenda within the Hospital.
