Salary: G01, SCP 3-4 (£24,796 - £25,185 FTE)
Post - Pastoral Support 8.45am – 12.00pm and 1.00-3.00pm, (attached to a child and the contract would end if/when they leave the school although it is expected to be until August 2027)
There may also be an additional 30 minutes a day for lunchtime cover between 12 and 1.

We have an exciting opportunity to work at our school in Gwernymynydd. The role will include, a pastoral 1-1 worker for a child to support them with their social communication within our 7-11 year old class, this position will involve supporting this child taking their learning outdoors and often following their own curriculum. We may require you to work an additional 2.5 hours a week consisting of 30 minutes dinner duty each day – this will be confirmed at time of interview.
The hours are 8.45 – 3.00pm, term time only.
The successful applicant will work under the guidance of staff and the additional needs co-ordinator. They should have good experience and understanding of effective strategies which engage, motivate and support pupils with specific needs. Evidence of training and experience of working with pupils on a 1-1 basis is desirable. Applicants should have good communication skills when dealing with parents and agencies.
