Job Description
Part-Time Lecturer
Responsible to: Head of Department/Deputy Head of Department
Location: Campus at Omagh, Cookstown, Dungannon, Erne, or Technology & Skills Centre
Main Duties and Responsibilities
* Teach subjects as directed by the Head of Department to standards defined by the College and relevant Awarding Organisation.
* Follow schemes of work within the agreed subject areas, devising your own schemes to be approved by the Head of Department.
* Set coursework, assess, and provide feedback in accordance with the Awarding Organisation's requirements.
* Support candidates individually, considering their needs and abilities.
* Prepare thoroughly for classes and act as a course co-ordinator or assessor if required.
* Organise and supervise work placements, maintain accurate administrative records, and adhere to College policies.
* Participate in meetings, curriculum review, staff development, and marketing activities.
* Collaborate with support staff to ensure high-quality teaching and learning experiences.
* Engage with external examiners, moderators, and verifiers as needed.
* Promote the College and contribute to quality assurance and internal policies.
Terms and Conditions of Service
Pay rates vary by subject level: Grade 5 (£25.68/hr), Grade 4 (£34.72/hr), Grade 3 (£40.53/hr). These rates include preparation and marking; no additional time is allocated.
