Nurse Manager NIHR/Manchester Clinical Research Facility at MRI — a full-time Band 7 Research Nurse Manager role at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust.
Responsibilities
* Manage and support the delivery of the NIHR/Manchester Clinical Research Facility (MCRF) portfolio at Manchester Royal Infirmary (MRI) and contribute to the development of research within the CRF.
* Work within the NIHR Manchester CRF, which comprises six dedicated experimental medicine research units, providing dedicated space and a safe, quality‑assured environment for delivering clinical research.
* Lead the development of research within the CRF at MRI, with a focus on delivering Early phase 1–2 highly complex experimental medicinal trials (commercial and non-commercial) and other research activities.
* Provide high‑quality patient care and guide patients through their research journey; line manage clinical staff and support the delivery of research across specialties within MFT.
* Take a proactive approach in managing the CRF team, lead the development of a growing study portfolio, and implement strategic objectives in partnership with R&I senior leadership and delivery teams.
* Act as the main point of contact for study principal investigators, sponsors and patients; ensure effective communication and collaboration within the team.
* Ensure research undertaken at MFT safeguards patient well‑being and is conducted in accordance with ICH Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines.
* Support tailored personal development plans with access to further training, opportunities to develop new research and clinical skills, and strategic leadership development.
