Teacher of Physical Education (PE)
Location: Pocklington, East Riding of Yorkshire
Start Date: September 2025
Salary: MPS/UPS; £31,650 - £49,084 per annum
Contract Type: Part-time, Permanent (0.8 FTE)
GSL Education are looking to appoint an ambitious, energetic, and passionate Teacher of Physical Education to work at a thriving Secondary School located in Pocklington, East Riding of Yorkshire.
PE Teacher Requirements:
* A recognised UK teaching qualification, such as a PGCE or equivalent, with a specialism in Physical Education.
* A degree in Sports Science, Physical Education, or a related field is preferred.
* Experience teaching Physical Education at secondary level.
* Strong understanding of physical education curriculum requirements, sports coaching techniques, and fitness principles.
* Experience working in SEN settings or with students who have additional needs is desirable.
* Hold a Child only DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
PE Teacher Responsibilities:
* Deliver high-quality, engaging PE lessons across KS3 to KS5.
* Plan, assess and report on pupils’ progress.
* Contribute to the planning and development of the PE curriculum.
* Maintaining a safe environment during physical activities.
* Promote a positive and inclusive culture of health, wellbeing, and sport throughout the school.
* Participate in extracurricular sport and physical activity.
