We are looking for someone to join the Lochaber Cancer and Palliative Care Team in Lochaber. Previous community nursing experience and administration of SACT treatment desirable.
Responsibilities
* Provide SACT treatment locally 1 day a week and support acute and community patients.
* Deliver high levels of clinical decision‑making skills, monitoring and improving standards of cancer/palliative care through supervised practice.
* Carry out clinical audit, best practice evidence and research implementation.
* Facilitate learning and support professional colleagues to provide informed palliative care.
* Contribute to developing a sustainable SACT service and community‑based palliative care service, supporting local hospital.
* Assist in meeting the needs of people living with cancer, including after diagnosis and terminal care.
Qualifications
* Previous community nursing experience.
* Experience administering SACT treatment.
* Desirable: Non‑medical prescribing; a development post will be considered.
* Advanced clinical decision‑making skills.
