We are looking for the next rising star to develop their skills and work within our Operations and Emergency Preparedness, Resilience and Response (EPRR) team.

You will work supporting the Deputy Chief Operating Officer and EPRR team to provide key administrative and project support.

Alongside this full-time administrative role you will be enrolled onto the Business Apprenticeship Programme and will be expected to study and complete assignments to achieve a recognised Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship within a 24 month period for suitable candidates.

Please refer to Annex 21 of Agenda for Change. As an apprentice, you will receive a maximum of 70% of the pay band maximum for the qualified rate for the first 12 months. This will increase by 5% each year as explained in Agenda for Change terms and conditions

Please note: The Job Description and Person Specification outlines what is expected from the role, however this is an apprenticeship position and the successful candidate will develop the knowledge and skills to undertake the position to the full potential whilst on the job.

Main duties of the job

Toprovide essential administrative, coordination and support functions to the Emergency Preparedness, Resilience and Response (EPRR) and Operations Team in the successful delivery of its functions. This role will ensure that project activities are well-organised, deadlines are met, and documentation is accurate and up to date. The Project Support Officer will play a key role in supporting the teams and maintaining effective service delivery across the Operations and EPRR departments.

The perfect candidate will have a flexible approach to provided administrative and project support to the teams working across the Organisation. There will be contact with all levels of staff across the Organisation on a daily basis, therefore good communication skills are essential.
