Construction Area Sales Manager
Reporting directly to the Branch & Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales growth of construction machinery and equipment within a designated area.
Key Responsibilities
* Drive sales growth within a defined territory
* Develop new business opportunities and generate leads
* Manage and grow existing customer accounts
* Promote and demonstrate construction machinery and equipment
* Build strong, long‑term customer relationships
* Meet and exceed sales targets and KPIs
* Carry out customer visits and site demonstrations
* Maintain accurate administration and reporting of sales activity
Required Skills & Experience
* Proven sales experience (ideally construction or agricultural equipment)
* Strong industry and machinery knowledge
* Excellent communication skills (face‑to‑face, phone, and email)
* Strong ability to negotiate, influence, and close sales
* Experience in account management and relationship building
* Confident conducting product demonstrations
* Strong organisational and administrative skills
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general IT systems
* Experience using Google Maps or similar for route planning
* Full UK driving licence and ability to maintain a clean, safe vehicle
Additional Information
Location: West Sussex, BN6
Hours: 42.5 hours per week
Monday to Friday: 8:00am - 5:30pm (1‑hour unpaid lunch)
Additional hours may be required, including weekends on a rota during peak periods
Contract: Permanent, Full‑time, Salaried
