Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a multi-discipline Automation and Security Engineer based in Hertfordshire. The apprentice will assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of automated gates, barriers, and other related systems. Daily tasks include troubleshooting technical issues, performing routine maintenance checks, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards, and supporting senior engineers in implementing automation projects. The role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in automation and engineering through hands‑on training and mentorship. This role also offers the opportunity to learn other areas of the business enabling you to take part in call out.
Qualifications
* Basic knowledge or interest in Troubleshooting and Process Control techniques
* Familiarity with or enthusiasm to learn about Automation technologies
* Keen attention to detail and strong problem‑solving capabilities
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team and adapt to hands‑on, on‑site environments
* Willingness to learn and progress within the gate automation and security engineering field
* Relevant vocational certifications or ongoing pursuit of technical qualifications are an advantage
* Clean valid driving license
* Novice ability to weld and fabricate
