Salary: £92,000 – £113,500 (dependent on experience) + 20% performance bonus + car allowance

We’re looking for a Senior Data Product Delivery Manager to lead the delivery of our growing portfolio of data products. In this senior, hands‑on leadership role you’ll ensure every data initiative delivers measurable business value, aligns with NHBC’s enterprise data strategy, and supports major transformation programmes such as Phoenix and ERP modernisation. Reporting to the Chief Data and Architecture Officer, you’ll define how NHBC delivers data products, creating an environment where teams work with agility, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
* Shape NHBC’s data delivery model – define and embed the strategic framework for data product delivery, aligning with enterprise strategy and business objectives.
* Lead the data product portfolio – oversee planning, prioritisation, and sequencing across multiple domains.
* Champion product‑led, outcome‑focused delivery – embed data‑as‑a‑product principles and agile practices that focus on business impact.
* Ensure strategic alignment – work closely with Product Owners, architects, and transformation leads to keep delivery connected to enterprise priorities and technology roadmaps.
* Provide senior delivery assurance – manage dependencies, risks, and timelines to ensure delivery excellence, pace, and quality.
* Represent data delivery at senior forums – act as the voice of data delivery in governance structures, programme boards, and executive discussions.
* Develop capability and maturity – build and coach high‑performing teams, embedding best practice across all data delivery disciplines.
* Foster collaboration and culture – promote openness, trust, and shared ownership across business, data, and technology teams.
* Oversee vendor and partner delivery – ensure third‑party contributions align with NHBC’s standards and strategic direction.
* Promote transparency and measurable outcomes – provide clear, meaningful reporting that keeps senior stakeholders informed and engaged.
Requirements
* Proven experience delivering data and analytics products within complex organisations.
* Strong track record leading delivery in modern cloud data environments (e.g. Snowflake, dbt, Power BI) using agile and iterative methods.
* Demonstrated ability to align technical delivery with measurable business outcomes.
* Experience coordinating across engineering, analytics, architecture, and governance functions without reliance on traditional project structures.
* Experience building or scaling delivery frameworks or operating models for data or digital functions.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
* Strategic and analytical mindset, able to shape and execute delivery plans with clarity and purpose.
* Comfortable leading through ambiguity and fostering alignment across diverse teams.
* Skilled facilitator focused on outcomes, accountability, and continuous improvement.
* Proficiency with delivery tools (e.g. Jira, Azure DevOps, Miro, Confluence).
* Deep understanding of agile delivery, data lifecycle management, and value‑driven product thinking.
